Confessions of a guy who quit smoking

I was a chain smoker. Many times, over and over again, I would tell my friends—and myself—that I would quit. But it wasn’t that easy (and this is an understatement). I would quit for a few days, then suddenly get the urge and tell myself “Nah, it’s just one stick.” And I would just get back into the habit.

I guess another thing that made it very, very difficult for me was that I was conscious about my weight. As much as possible I wanted to keep my tight figure. However, as I tried to quit smoking, I ended up compensating by eating a lot.

Most people would call me an addict. I can’t really blame them, of course. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t get over it. It had become a part of my life, so irreplaceable that I couldn’t even do anything so I could get my smoking habit out of my mind.

However, all this began to change when I saw a doctor who helped me quit smoking in Morris County. I won’t mention any names, but this doctor told me to not only quit smoking, but start living healthy in general, something I had been putting off for the longest time. Of course, it wasn’t just the usual “you should quit smoking so other people around you won’t be harmed” diatribe. To make things easier, this doctor of mine recommended that I go through a fitness regimen. This way, I wouldn’t need to find something to help me compensate for my lack of smokes.

To supplement my detoxification process, he asked me to go to a weight loss doctor in Parsipanny. This way, I would be able to monitor my weight while purging my body of those foreign, deadly substances that excessive cigarette smoking had brought upon me for a good long time. See, the thing about quitting is that your body still makes you have oral cravings, so it’s expected that people who quit are more likely to go binge eating. Parsipanny medspa servicesalso provided a lot of help for my case.

So if you live in New Jersey and are planning to quit smoking, go see a doctor. Don’t take all matters in your hands. You could consult a medical spa in North Jersey, and of course, compliment your detox process by looking for detox diets in NJ.
